The nature in Europe is under threat from many quarters. Thus, are priority projects that reduce these threats and ensure diversity of species. There are opportunities to promote models of conservation and development in rural areas that benefit wildlife, local people and society in general. There are several EU funds that can be used to support conservation initiatives, in particular the Structural Funds.
This publication discusses the use of EU funds to create jobs and preserve nature with various case studies. TERRA contributed case studies in Portugal and Spain.
